New Madison Public Pool Opens Thursday

In the pool if you're cool: Madison's new outdoor pool (that's Aquatic Center for marketing purposes) opens on Thursday, June 4, just a week late. Community Center Director Aaron Walter says citizens will be able to make their first big splash when the doors open for an open swim at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Current forecast for first-swim time: 72 degrees and clear, west wind at 12 mph. Bit cool for my swimming tastes, but I suspect it won't stop the kids. Cannonball!
